This Is About Happiness

“Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

No one is absolutely perfect. For example, your classmate is extremely smart, which is the envy of everybody; however, he may be poor at sport or singing. People are usually envious of others' strengths, not satisfied with themselves, and unable to embrace thier own defects. Why not just accept not only your advantages but also disadvanges? If you can entirely accept yourself and love yourself, I bet you will have more self-confidence, optimistic about the difficulties standing in front of you. Take Nick Vujicic  as an example. He was born without arms and legs; nevertheless, he never gives up and leads a positive life. If he can do it, it's not hard for us to accept our imperfections. All in all, after you've decided to look beyond the imperfections, you will lead a happier life than before, no matter what situation you are faced with.

  1. Hi, Xie Jia En;)
Believe it or not, my younger sister has the identical first name with yours. (except that her last name is Chiang, which is different from yours.) What a coincidence!
Sorry, back to the topic. My mom had told me similar things mentioned in your artical. But I find it very difficult to achieve the goal to look beyond my own imperfections. It's just too hard to accept my soft spots. For instance, I'm not a person who's good at social stuffs and making friends. I tried hard to be a more easy going person, yet I still had trouble making new friends. But I can't just accept that, can I? I know I should've accept my whole being, but I really want to meet more people and make new friends. Anyway, that's just a girl's worries. Don't put it in mind.
Last, thank you for sharing this article with me~
    Best Wishes,
    Your Classmate,Emily Chiang

    1. Hello, Emily Chiag:)
At first, I am grateful for your share about my artical. To be honest, I used to be a shy girl when I was young. However, I like to make friends who are easy-going and humorous because I feel happy when I am together with them. Therefore, I think that if I like to make friends with such people, why don't I change myself and become a person that I want to be. Being more courageous, trying your best to show your enthusiam, and you will be a person you really want to be little by little.

  2. HI Xie En! I'm Fang Yuan!
    I really agree your viewpoint.
Everyone must accept themselves, not deny themselves. When we accept ourselves, the true happiness will come.
And I've watched Nick's video. He is an amazing guy! Although he doesn't have arms and legs,he can do everything by himself. Why he can ignore his obstacle? I think that is because he accept himself.

    1. I know the man you said. He published a book called "人生不設限". I often wrote him in my composition when I prepared for the college entrance exam. He always has a positive attitude towards his life, which is everyone's model.
