“Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”
Most people, including me, always want to acquire something that they don’t have now. Instead, they don’t treasure things they have. For example, I went shopping in Eslite, and saw a book I really wanted to buy. It was full of inspiring words that always made me full of energy. However, I didn’t have enough money for this book. To my surprise, my best friend sent me this book as my birthday present. After I owned the book, I seldom had time reading it. Another example is that the relationship between boyfriend and girlfriend. Sometimes, you like a person very much, and want to be with him or her. When you really become lovers, the strong feeling of love disappears little by little. There are many example to illustrate this quote. People don’t regret it until they lose it. Nevertheless, if we can treasure what we have, we can avoid the feeling of rue.
Ha!Ha!Today is January first before the comment I have to say" Happy New Year." What you say is really true. People don't cherish what their have. Most of time we keep looking for what we want or what we lost. It's really weird right? I have the same experience like you. I want to buy a fountain pen since I was in senior high school. However, it's too expensive. To my surprise, my best friend send it to me on my 18th birthday. I love the pen so much. However, it could only stay in the bottom of my bag. Human is hard to totally understand.
